Three decades of preaching, missions, teaching the gospel, chaplaincy, and counseling.

I currently serve as preaching minister at the Northwest Tampa Church of Christ, where I have preached since 2020. Before Tampa, I served congregations in Midland and Leander, Texas. From 2017 to 2020, I served as minister at Central Church of Christ in Del Rio, Texas. During that same period, I also served as head chaplain at Val Verde Regional Medical Center, overseeing chaplaincy for the hospital and its hospice.

Earlier, my family and I lived and worked in Ecuador, where I planted the Iglesia de Cristo Cuenca Centro. My ministry there was shaped by the people of the southern highlands, who were with me when I began to read Scripture with new eyes.

I am a board-certified chaplain through both the Association of Certified Christian Chaplains and the Spiritual Care Association. I also serve as a CPE Supervisor/Educator through the Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training. I have completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education, four units of Supervisor-in-Training, and a specialty certification in grief support.

Chaplaincy taught me what preaching could not: how to sit with people in the moments when words fail.

Tres décadas de predicación, misiones, enseñanza del evangelio, capellanía y consejería.

Actualmente sirvo como ministro de predicación en la Iglesia de Cristo del Noroeste de Tampa, donde he predicado desde 2020. Antes de Tampa, serví en congregaciones en Midland y Leander, Texas. Del 2017 al 2020 serví como ministro en la Iglesia de Cristo Central en Del Rio, Texas. Durante ese mismo período también serví como capellán principal en el Val Verde Regional Medical Center, supervisando la capellanía del hospital y de su programa de cuidados paliativos.

Antes de eso, mi familia y yo vivimos y trabajamos en el Ecuador, donde planté la Iglesia de Cristo Cuenca Centro. Mi ministerio allí fue formado por la gente de la sierra sur, que estuvo conmigo cuando comencé a leer las Escrituras con ojos nuevos.

Soy capellán certificado por la Association of Certified Christian Chaplains y por la Spiritual Care Association. También sirvo como Supervisor/Educador de CPE por medio del Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training. He completado cuatro unidades de Educación Pastoral Clínica, cuatro unidades de Supervisor en Formación y una certificación de especialidad en acompañamiento en el duelo.

La capellanía me enseñó lo que la predicación no pudo: cómo sentarme con las personas en los momentos en que las palabras fallan.
